An interdisciplinary and complex project is presented to learn more about and relive the ancient symposion, its social, cultural and philosophical function. The first approach takes place in a reading phase of original Greek and Latin texts, followed by an in-depth individual study with didactic material, culminating in the concrete organisation of an event with almost all the elements of a symposion. In cooperation between Greek, Latin and philosophy teachers and with active participation of interested students, it is possible to realise a fascinating “reenactment” with surprising effects.
