Dragoni, Diana (2025). La responsabilità di difendersi: un’esperienza didattica tra Tucidide e Baricco. Ars docendi, 22, marzo 2025.
The article describes a teaching experience centred on Thucydides' “Dialogue of the Melii and the Athenians” and a lecture by Alessandro Baricco. Through critical reading of the text, a simulation and a debate on the effectiveness of modern popularisation, students explored themes such as justice, power and imperialism. The approach stimulated critical thinking and argumentative skills, valuing the classics as tools for understanding the present. Diana Dragoni has a degree in Literature and a PhD in Humanities, and has been teaching Literature, Latin and Greek in secondary schools since 2005.
